What We Grow
Ekar Farm is a diversified produce farm using organic growing practices. We grow a wide range of crops adapted to Colorado’s climate, from hardy greens, root vegetables, and herbs to summer crops such as tomatoes, squash, peppers, pumpkins, and onions. We also cultivate culturally responsive foods, such as shiso, okra, and daikon, guided by the needs and preferences of the communities we serve.
Our growing approach is adaptive and seasonally responsive, allowing us to adjust crop selection and production based on weather conditions, water availability, and community feedback. We also grow native and pollinator-supporting flowers that help strengthen biodiversity and support healthy, resilient ecosystems on the farm. Each season, we focus on growing and sharing as much fresh, nutrient-dense food as possible through our community food access partners, prioritizing both resilience and equity in our local food system.
